Latest end user domain sales including bizarre new TLD sales

I’m scratching my head about a couple of these domains.

Sedo had several big new top level domain sales this past week, including wallet.one for $49,000. I can’t figure out who bought that domain, but you can bet it’s a blockchain company.

Its other two big new TLD sales were hyphenated .blog domains, and there has to be more to the story than meets the eye. See the details below.

Here’s a list of end user domain name sales that just completed at Sedo. You can view previous lists like this here.

Stuff.it €78,888 – Headissue GmbH is a German software development firm. There’s a popular file compression tool with this domain, but I don’t think the creator of that software is connected to Headissue.

Hosting-cloud.blog €30,000 and cloud-hosting.blog €30,000 – I really don’t know what to make of these outsized sales. Whois lists the owner as AWI Finance GmbH. There’s an under construction page for that company’s website that was provided by tech provider Anexia. The previous owner is listed as another German company that used Anexia. The nameservers briefly changed from Anexia to Sedo and now to another DNS. Strange.

SearchKit.com $25,000 – Aito Software Oy bought this domain. It runs PressRush, which offers PR tools and data.

Getaway.co $9,795 – Getaway pitches luxury vacation rental properties to investors.

STPR.com $9,000 – CAM, Inc., is a Japanese media management and content production business. I’m not sure what this domain is for.

Dough.tech $7,999 – Dough sells video gaming gear.

Xpln.io €5,500 – parsionate GmbH is a German data management company. The company applied for an EU trademark for XPLN earlier this year.

Everion.com €5,500 – I’m not sure who bought it, but they put up a coming soon page that says “Everything. Everywhere. Everyone…. SOON”.

CyberSecurityPatrol.com $5,000 – Social media cybersecurity personality “Big Ed” forwards this domain to his site at cybersecuritypatrol.show. He smartly points out, “Social platforms come and go every day. Humans will be around for a long time. Join my mailing list to get alerts of new content, cyber security tips for everyone and more!”

BlueMapping.com $3,999 – Whois shows the buyer is “Strane” in France. It might be startup studio Strane Innovations. One of its portfolio companies is BlueSCities, which offers “blueprints for smart cities.”

BetterMoney.co $2,488 – This domain was a new registration earlier this year. The buyer is creating a finance site.

PSAPilots.com $2,200 – PSA Airlines, which is part of American Airlines, is forwarding this domain to a page on its site that recruits pilots.

Eastwood.de €2,000 – Eastwood is a networking event and educator for the German timber construction industry.
