Big online crowd expected for next week’s event.

NamesCon Online runs on an internet connection near you September 9-11.

Organizers tell Domain Name Wire that they have 700 registrations to date. I suspect that they’ll get a lot of last-minute registrations because there’s no travel involved. And there’s good news for people who still don’t have a ticket: you can still get a ticket for $59.

Ticket prices went up to $99 on September 1, but organizers accidentally mentioned the old $59 price in a newsletter sent on September 1. So NamesCon will honor the $59 price. Anyone who paid $99 will get a refund.

People who have never attended a NamesCon can attend for free. Approximately 50% of registrants are attending for their first time.

NamesCon shared some interesting data about first-time attendees. Here are some that I find interesting (note that these are just related to the first-time attendees, not those returning.)
